Become a Host Family Open Your Home to an Amity Intern

Hosting an Amity Intern opens your heart and home to an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship with an international visitor.

What does it in entail?

Host Families provide room and board to their international visitor. The Intern must have a private bedroom and be provided with all meals except lunch on school days. Families must host their Interns for a minimum of 12 weeks or preferably the entire school year.

Who is Amity?

Amity Institute is a nonprofit organization that works to build international friendship and cultural understanding through teaching exchange. For over forty years, Amity has brought Interns to the US to share their knowledge and culture. Amity has a careful screening process that enables us to select friendly, open-minded individuals who are excited to come to the US and share language and culture. Amity has trained Program Counselors on staff to assist Intern and Host Families with any questions or issues they may have.
